"Why is my bleeding heart still beating?" [11 Apr 2004|07:13pm]
[ mood | cranky ]
[ music | "Other Voices" - The Cure ]

This journal needs some spice to it. Earlier I looked for a background, but at the end nothing quite suited as well as I liked. Anyway, today was a complete waste. I laid in bed until 2:00 and since then have done completely nothing. Nothing unless you count retaing life a task. Hon called and ask if I wanted to go out tonight, but I'm just not up to it.

Oh, and before I leave, I finally scanned a picture of you's truly. Ask or reply((either one)) and I'll send it on the double.

Track Results. [23 Mar 2004|07:20pm]
[ mood | anxious ]
[ music | "Lady Madonna" - The Beatles ]

I don't have an exceedingly ample amount of time on my hands for this entry, but, hey, at least you're getting something from my end of all this.

Yesterday, last night rather, I spent five hours standing around awaiting my heats to be called for our first outdoor meet. Not to be bragging, but, I won my events. You know what? I will brag. This is my journal, I'll brag all the hell I want...
Anyway, I ran the open one, open two, and for four-hundred. And for those who aren't hip on track-terminology, too bad.

No, re-thinking, I'll explain. A one-hundred open is just one-forth distance of a standard four-hundred meter track. You sprint, which goes without saying. And for those who have lost more brain cells than the average, sprinting is when you move your feet really fast.
My time in the one-hundred was :13.5 seconds. Not bad, but could be better.

A four-hundred is a sprint around the track once, and my time for that was a 1:03.-something.

And finally, as if I couldn't add anything more non-interesting and completely self-entertaining, I ran the two-hundred, which if you're catching on, is half the size of the track. My time was a :27.-something.

And that ends my reign of boastful ego.
